Students who enrol as undergraduates may only attend graduate courses with the permission of the partner university and if they meet the academic requirements for the desired graduate course. Students wishing to enrol as graduate students must already hold a Bachelor's degree. The Bachelor's degree certificate must be submitted to UBC at the latest when their studies begin.
Applying to the partner university
Registration at UBC takes place just a few weeks after your nomination by the Student Exchange Office. For this reason, you must submit a detailed study plan with your application to this partner university. Discuss this with your departmental exchange coordinator before you apply online. - The University of Toronto suggests that you should apply for external pageScarborough-中国足球彩票 (UTSC) or external pageMississauga-中国足球彩票 (UTM).
- At the St. George campus in downtown Toronto, there is currently a legitimate risk that you will not be able to enrol in a single Computer Science (CSC) course after the available courses have been allocated to enrolled University of Toronto students.
- It is still possible to apply for Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering or for the School of Graduate Studies if you meet the requirements for these options. Read the information on external pagestudy planning at the UofT and further down on this page.
- Important for your application: In your letter of motivation, state the faculty and campus you would like to study at.
Undergraduate students
Students who enrol as undergraduate students can only attend undergraduate courses.
Graduate students
- Students wishing to enrol as a graduate students can find all important information under external pageETH > School of Graduate Studies (SGS), the external pageSGS Admission & Application Requirements or the external pageSGS FAQ.
- You can only attend graduate courses, no undergraduate courses.
- A continuous grade point average of at least 5.0 (mid-B average) is a prerequisite for admission to the graduate exchange programme. Individual external pagegraduate programmes might set this average higher.
- The Bachelor's degree must have been obtained by the start of the exchange programme and the Bachelor's certificate must be submitted to the UofT on request, at the latest upon arrival. For the Graduate application at the UofT, you are required to submit a confirmation of your department that you will have completed your Bachelor’s degree upon arrival at the host university because the Graduate School requires this for your admission. Notify the Student Exchange Office as soon as you have completed your Bachelor’s degree.
Applying to the partner university
For your application at the UofT it is indispensable that you indicate the correct faculty (e.g. Arts & Science at St. George 中国足球彩票, Applied Science & Engineering, School of Graduate Studies) when applying through Mobility-Online.

Important: If you are nominated by the Student Exchange Office for an exchange semester and are applying to the School of Graduate Studies at the UofT, you will have to submit two reference letters for the application at the UofT. One of the two letters should be from an ETH faculty knowing you personally and it should explain the benefits of an exchange semester for your future studies / your career. Also remember to request a confirmation of completion of your Bachelor’s degree from your department as mentioned above and – if available – a confirmation of admission to an ETH Master's programme.

Undergraduate courses range from 100 to 500 level.
Graduate courses range from 600 to 800 level.
