The ETH Library joins Open Library of Humanities

Read and publish open access in humanities subjects and thereby contribute to Open Science.

The external pageOpen Library of Humanities is an award-winning, academic-led, gold open-access publisher of 28 journals, e.g. external pageArchitectural Histories, with no author-facing charges.

With initial funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and subsequent support from Arcadia, a charitable fund, the platform covers its costs by payments from an international library consortium, rather than any author fees. This funding mechanism enables equitable open access in the humanities disciplines, with charges neither to readers nor authors.

Due to its core mission helping ETH members to be able to read and publish without hurdles, the ETH Library supports the Open Library of Humanities and is committed to Open Science.
