 Zugriff auf Open-Access-Artikel für ETH-Angehörige ab 2022

As of 1 January 2022, scientists at ETH Zurich can publish open-access articles in American Institute of Physics (AIP), Company of Biologists, IEEE and Institute of Physics (IOP) journals without incurring any costs because these are covered by the new open-access agreement. The agreement requires that you as the corresponding author of the submitted article are employed at ETH Zurich.

American Institute of Physics (AIP)

The agreement enables members of ETH Zurich to publish in all Downloadhybrid AIP journals (XLSX, 25 KB). This agreement applies to all articles with an acceptance date in 2022.

Company of Biologists

Members of ETH Zurich may publish without limitation in all hybrid Company of Biologists journals:

IEEE

Members of ETH Zurich can now publish articles in all external pagegold-open-access publications of IEEE. Although hybrid journals are excluded for the time being, negotiations will continue in 2022. In the case of hybrid journals, you have the possibility to publish in the Research Collection via green open access. At IEEE, this usually coincides with publication in the journal.

Institute of Physics (IOP)

Members of ETH Zurich may publish without limitation in all IOP journals, including Downloadgold-open-access publications (XLSX, 34 KB), with the exception of Electrochemical Society (ECS) and American Astronomical Society (AAS) journals. This agreement applies to all articles with an acceptance date in 2022.

MIT Press – Direct to Open (D2O)

The ETH Library supports the external pageDirect to Open programme (D2O) of MIT Press. Through D2O, part of the publisher’s books is transferred from the traditional purchase model to a collaborative open-access model that is supported by libraries worldwide. No costs are incurred for authors published in the programme books.

Good to know: You can find an overview of all title lists in our open-access wiki.

In a combined contract model, the agreements bring together electronic access to all the journals with the option of open-access publishing. For ETH Zurich, the conclusion of this agreement represents a further significant step towards successful implementation of its open-access policy and the external pagenational open-access strategy in order to offer all researchers the best prospects for disseminating their scientific findings as globally and transparently as possible.
