Adoption of the Swiss National Open Research Data Strategy

swissuniversities, together with ERI partner organisations, has developed the Swiss National Open Research Data Strategy. Following the adoption, an action plan is now on the agenda.

The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) commissioned swissuniversities to devise a external pageSwiss National Open Research Data Strategy, which was adopted at the beginning of July 2021. This strategy was drawn up together with the ERI partner organisations (ETH Board, SNSF and Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences) and complements Switzerland’s existing national open-access strategy.

Strategy to support researchers

The strategy defines the framework conditions for the development of guidelines for practices in connection with research data management at Swiss universities such as ETH Zurich, as well as for the establishment of related infrastructure and support for researchers.

Action plan by end of the year

The associated measures and implementation steps are to be formulated in an action plan by the end of 2021. Further information on this and the current status of activities can be found at the external pageORD webpage from swissuniversities.
