The collections of the ETH Zurich University Archives provide answers to questions on the history of ETH Zurich as well as on the history of science in general.
The amount of genuinely digital documents obtained and catalogued by the archives is constantly growing. Last year they received 3400 GB of archival material. Despite the ongoing digitization of the ETH Zurich administration over the past decades, paper documents still form a major part of the archival material that enters the archives. The number of consultations and inquiries is growing continuously. ETH Zurich University Archives belongs to ETH Library. It is responsible for preservation, cataloguing and accessibility of important documents of ETH Zurich and the ETH Board as well as personal papers of prominent former members of ETH.
