In retrospect: ETH Research Data Management Summer School 2019

The first edition of the ETH Research Data Management Summer School took place from 4 to 7 June 2019.

The 29 participants from the ETH domain (mostly doctoral students plus a few postdocs) attended lectures and workshops covering a broad range of topics concerning research data management (RDM), led by specialists from ETH Library, ETH Scientific IT Services and ETH Zurich Corporate Communications.

The invited guest speakers Prof. Detlef Günther (Vice President for Research and Corporate Relations), Prof. Ernst Hafen, Prof. Nicolas Gruber (chairing the Commission for Good Scientific Practice), Prof. Reto Knutti und Dr. Patrick Pedrioli completed the program by presenting their (also critical) views on diverse RDM topics.

At the close of the summer school, the marketplace offered a last possibility for exchange between participants and experts from various departments, e.g. ETH transfer and EU GrantsAccess.

Please find the complete program and additional information on our website.

The course was organised and conducted by ETH Library in collaboration with ETH Scientific IT Services. Doctoral students could earn two ECTS credit points.
