Gisbert Schneider receives Gmelin-Beilstein Award

The German Chemical Society (GDCh) awards Gisbert Schneider (D-CHAB) the Gmelin-Beilstein commemorative coin for his pioneering work for the integration of machine-learning methods into practical medicinal chemistry.

Gisbert Schneider is Professor of Computational Drug Design at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPW). The Gmelin-Beilstein commemorative coin is awarded to national and international personalities who have made special contributions to the history of chemistry, chemical literature or chemistry information. The award will be presented on May 5, 2022, at the annual meeting of the GDCh Division "Computers in Chemistry" in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
