Janet Hering is Geochemical Fellow 2018

Janet Hering, professor for Environmental Biogeochemistry at ETH Zurich and Director of the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology Eawag, has been announced as a Geochemical Fellow by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.

Janet Hering has been awarded for making pioneering contributions to fundamental aspects of aquatic chemistry, to the public health problem of arsenic contamination of drinking water, and for bridging science and policy for sustainable management of water resources.

The European Association of Geochemistry (EAG) was officially established in 1985 with the goal of promoting geochemistry internationally and in particular providing a forum for the presentation of geochemistry, exchange of ideas, publications and recognition of scientific excellence.

The newly elected Geochemical Fellows will receive their honor at the 2018 Goldschmidt Conference in August, 2018 in Boston, USA.
