The prizes listed here are awarded by institutions other than ETH Zurich. In some cases nominations coming from ETH Zurich must be chanelled via internal units - see the list below for details.

Some of the most prestigious research prizes such as the Nobel Prizes, Fields Medal, Pritzker Architecture Prize, Kyoto Prize, Crafoord Prize, Shaw Prize and K?rber Prize only accept nominations upon invitation.
