ETH Zurich is offering public tours and group tours. As a guide, you represent ETH Zurich to the outside world. You can contribute to making guests feel welcome and appreciated at ETH Zurich. 中国足球彩票 Services coordinates the assignments and are therefore your contact persons.
Following qualities as a guide are expected by ETH Zurich Tours:
- Tangible enthusiasm for ETH Zurich and the ability to convey this
- Affiliation with ETH Zurich
- Interest in the history, culture and development of ETH Zurich
- Pleasure in dealing with visitors from different cultures and countries
- Visitor-oriented mindset and behavior
- Willingness for on-camera assignments (for virtual broadcasts, the external pageInstagram account @visit_ethzurich and the external pageETH Zurich YouTube channel)
- Strong presentation skills
- A neaty appearance
- Good general knowledge
- Willingness and discipline to expand knowledge for tours
- Very good oral German and English skills, ideally also other language skills
- Flexibility, commitment, sense of responsibility
- Planning ability
- Reliability, especially punctuality
- A noticeably positive attitude towards ETH Zurich
- Basic knowledge of the history of ETH Zurich are presupposed
You will be associated with ETH Zurich for the next two years and will be available for at least four job assignments per month. The assignments will be arranged by agreement and depend on availability and demand.
As a guide on behalf of ETH Zurich Tours you are welcoming visitors on both campuses Zentrum and H?nggerberg and present ETH Zurich. ETH Zurich Tours sees itself as a driving force in developing and implementing innovative ideas for visitor tours at ETH Zurich.
The allocation of assignments is based on the order volume of ETH Zurich Tours on the one hand and on the time availability as well as the language and specialist knowledge of the ETH Zurich Tours guides on the other. The assignments are irregular and may also occur at morning or evening hours as well as on weekends and public holidays.
Up to three times a year we meet for the ?get togethers?. Latest news and information on current topics are shared. It is important to us that our guides are always up to date and can continue their education with us. The team spirit is close to our hearts and we cultivate an appreciative team spirit.
